RISCOS.org was first registered by Paul Vigay in May 2000 in order to create a site dedicated to the promotion and more widespread usage of the British RISC Operating System, RISC OS.
Paul has been working with Acorn machines since the BBC B was launched, way back in 1982. To this day, he still believes that RISC OS machines offer a huge benefit over alternative systems such as Windows and Mac OS, mainly due to RISC OS superb graphical user interface (GUI) which is both highly productive and extremely efficient.
It is hoped that RISCOS.org will grow into a useful central resource of everything RISC OS related, in addition to hosting a comprehensive links database of downloadable software.
