DataPower Series

Having had a series of articles recently very much focused on graphics, we think that to have a number of articles on databases and spreadsheets would be really interesting. If you are a whizz with DataPower, then this might be for you! We need an enthusiastic writer to write a series (5 to 6 articles in length) on using DataPower. The articles should be aimed at those with good computing knowledge, but no database experience at all, and should build to a competent level, with possibly the most basic of SQL examples.

If you are interested, then send a short introduction (about 400 words) along with a plan of topics for each article to articles@riscosnow.co.uk.

News Columnist

RISC OS Now curently needs a news columnist to write an informal news and announcement page for each issue. The writer will be an avid RISC OS user and aware of the ongoing issues within the market.

They will be interested in the future of RISC OS and will read newsgroups as well as other magazine sites. They will have a good writing style, however no prior experience of media or journalism is required.

If you wish to take on this role, then email me with a short 100 word paragraph of why you would be a good news columnist.

Photodesk Expert

Are you an expert with photodesk? Are you able to explain how you achieved different effects? Would you like to write a tutorial style mini-series on RISC OS's Photodesk?

If you think that you can do this and are interested, send me an email with some of your own work attached, and a short description of how you would approach the problem and structure your series.
